The Zone is Aberdeen City Council's
intranet, containing a very wide range of information for Council employees,
including details of the Council's Corporate training programmes.
If you work in a school you may not
have direct access to The Zone, as not all school computers are connected to the
Corporate Network.
However, you can be given remote
access to The Zone, via the internet. This will allow you to use any internet
connected computer to visit all areas of the Zone, including the Employee
Development pages. To get this remote access, you must be assigned a username.

If you have not yet been given a
username to access The Zone, you can obtain one by contacting the ICT Helpdesk.
Simply call 01224 523434, and explain that you want to register for remote web
access to The Zone. You will need to provide the Helpdesk with your name,
payroll number and email address. Following registration, you will be sent an
email containing instructions on how to access The Zone.
