SSDN ASG MENTOR

The SSDN ASG Mentor will be required to

• become familiar with the basic tools and resources available on SSDN including email, shared whiteboard, video conferencing and other collaborative tools;
• present information about SSDN to colleagues;
• train SSDN School Mentors on the use of SSDN facilities and provide ongoing support to them ( as an initial indication there may be 4 sessions in the Autumn 2007 term);
• maintain contact through email, conferencing, etc with other mentors in the local authority and throughout Scotland;
• be released for training sessions

The SSDN ASG Mentor will have

• good interpersonal and communication skills;
• good presentation skills;
• evidence of a range of ICT skills, e.g. email, use of internet
• evidence of using ICT to develop learning and teaching
• the ability to to devise,  organise and support in-service training courses
• the ability to work collaboratively with other mentors;
• self confidence, adaptability and enthusiasm
