The game is based on producing and selling
polo shirts, and the pupils are given the task of working together to come up
with a company name and logo.
They then have to decide on the
number of
shirts to produce, the selling price, how many workers to employ, the wage rate to be paid, the advertising and research and
development budget and whether and what to spend on market
research.
Once the pupils have made their decisions,
the decisions are entered into a computer program and the teams receive a
print-out showing their trading and profit and loss account, and the
value of each team’s share price.
The aim of the game is to try and increase
the share price – and the team with the highest share price is
declared the winner. |
