Special Success Awards

The Special Success Award is for any individual, whether they are a young person or a member of staff, and recognises outstanding achievements of any kind which have taken place in the last year. This allows us to recognise a wider range of achievements than those covered

by the main award categories.

All successful nominations will be awarded with a certificate - there will be no overall winner for this category.

NB: Due to time constraints it may not be possible to present all Special Success Award certificates personally at the Awards ceremony.

The Baillie John Porter Award

Councillor and Baillie John Porter sadly died on 23rd May 2007 and the Council has instituted this annual award to commemorate his life time commitment to supporting excellence in education.  The award will be presented to the primary school which has achieved the greatest improvement to pupil attainment over the last three years; it will thereby acknowledge the work of the wider school community - of the pupils, their teachers, all other school staff and the support of parents, volunteers and partners.

The winner of this award will be determined by assessing which school's attainment has "most improved" by reviewing pupil results;

nominations are not required for this award.
