exploratory study of the experience of transition from pre-school to primary |
Number 3 in the Insight
series, this report is only available online (no hard copies). The report presents
the results of a study of the experiences of a group of 27 children
during their first year at primary school. It focuses on the perspectives of the
children, their teachers and parents,
and on changes in their out-of-home care arrangements. The same group took part in
an earlier study of all-day provision, which was published as Interchange 68: All Day Provision for 3- and 4-Year Olds.
