| Spring Day in Europe is a project in which schools learn about European Union developments and incorporate them into the curriculum. This year, the key day for events is 17th March 2005, and has a special focus on the European Constitution. As in previous years, national and European figures are visiting schools and taking part in online chats to face pupil's questions and debate European issues. Central to Spring Day 2005 is the Spring Day portal http://futurum2005.eun.org , which offers information about the project, including support services and tools for schools, resources and activities for classes to work on, independently or in partnership with other classes around Europe. On the portal a new Decision Making Role Play has been launched, which allows schools to work by themselves or with two partners in other countries (to whom they are matched online). Classes can act out the EU decision process by playing the part of the key institutions. |
